In its continuous effort and endeavours to achieve the dream of National Cleanliness Mission – Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Government of Telangana understands the importance for waste alternates to reduce the generation of waste, besides effective waste management. After successfully hosted the National Waste Management Summit in Hyderabad on June 24, 2017, Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd, along with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and Government of Telangana, will be hosting a two-day ‘National Waste Alternate Conclave – Sustainable Waste Management Practices’ in Hyderabad on August 27 & 28, 2018. This unique Conclave will also focus on the role of private players and organisations, and their possible collaboration with the Government through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
KT Rama Rao, Hon’ble Minister, IT, MA&UD, Industries & Commerce, Public Enterprises, Government of Telangana will grace the occasion. ‘National Waste Alternate Conclave, 2018 will roll out in three components – Conference, Expo and Awards – and will serve as an ideal platform for the policy makers, thought leaders and practitioners to interact on best practices, methods, innovations, technologies and other important topics in the domain of sustainable waste management focusing on RRR formula – Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. Through this, the civic authorities and other key stakeholders of public and private sectors and its allied ecosystem can arrive at solutions to enlarge the scope of waste management for the benefit of the Nation and States. This conclave will be a step ahead in tune with the vision and spirit of GHMC, the Govt of Telangana and Government of India towards the Cleanliness Mission and to curb the use of single-use-plastics, and bring in eco-friendly alternates to wastes besides sustainable waste management practices.
