At present, employability of youth is a major challenge in India. According to United Nations labour report, it is predicted that unemployment will be a major issue globally in coming years, especially for developing countries. At the same time, some reports also say that more than 60 per cent out of eight lakh engineers graduating from technical education institutes stay unemployed every year. This certainly poses a big issue for policymakers in a county like India.
But as it is said, every challenge can be seen as an opportunity too. And this challenge of unemployment can also be seen as an opportunity and help a country like India to become the Innovation, Entrepreneurial Hub of the World.
The State of Rajasthan, home to highest number of institutions of higher education and learning in the country, under the visionary leadership of Smt Vasundhara Raje, Hon’ble Chief Minister, is leaving no stone unturned to bring a paradigm shift to the higher education scenario of the State by giving dedicated focus on nurturing innovations, entrepreneurship to generate employment and make State’s youth more employable. At the same time, the role of Industry becomes all the more important to collaborate with governments more closely in order to help address the issues related to unemployment.
Keeping into account this very context and aimed at furthering the aforementioned agenda, the ‘Department of Higher & Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan’, along with Elets Technomedia Pvt Ltd, Asia & Middle East’s premier media & technology research organisation, is organising ‘Higher Education & Human Resource Conclave’ in Jaipur, Rajasthan on 25-26 September, 2018.
