Awards are open only to projects implemented in Maharashtra

e-Maharashtra Awards has been instituted with the primary aim of felicitating and acknowledging regional initiatives in the use of ICT in Government and Education. The eMaharashtra awards will be instrumental in promoting the most innovative initiatives in the domain of ICTs for Development and to spread awareness about the role of ICTs in addressing social concerns. The Awards ceremony will felicitate efforts made in Maharashtra though the innovative use of ICTs. Our aim is to identify and popularise emerging leaders and innovative projects from different sectors of the development community, including the grassroots organisations. The Awards are open for all national and international organisations, civil society organisations, bi-lateral, multi-lateral developmental organisations and enterprises working in Maharashtra who have transformed social development opportunities into a sustainable social enterprise through innovative use of ICTs. The Award winners will be felicitated at the eMaharashtra Summit.

  • Best Government to Business (G2B) Initiative of the Year

Government to Business (G2B) Initiative of the Year Award recognises those government departments who have used ICT tools for improved services, transactions and interactions between the local and central government and the private sector.

  • Best Government to Citizens (G2C) Initiative of the Year

Government to Citizens (G2C) Initiative of the Year Award recognises those government departments who have used ICT tools to provide and improve government services, transactions and interactions with citizens.

  • Best Government to Government (G2G) Initiative of the Year

Government to Government (G2G) Initiative of the Year Award recognises those government departments who have used ICT tools to provide and improve internal or external government to government services, transactions and interactions.

  • Best CSC Entrepreneur of the year

This category is open to any innovative project/programme/initiative that has redefined an exemplary entrepreneurial spirit in CSCs to provide improved services and benefits in rural areas.

  • Best ICT in Financial Inclusion Initiative of the year

The award in the category of ICT in Financial Inclusion Initiative of the year recognises the innovative use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in Financial Inclusion/Banking. The use of the technology can be in the form of mobiles, ATMs, intelligent core banking systems. The focus is on delivering banking services at a cheaper cost to the unbanked.

  • Best Urban ICT Initiative of the year

This category is open to any innovative project/programme/initiative that has paved ways for ICT enabled services toward urban development by citizens, governments (state and centre) or private and public agencies.
