G.V.L Satya Kumar

Shri G.V.L Satya Kumar is from the Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) 1991 Batch. He holds a B. Tech degree in Electronics and Communication in Engineering from IIT Madras (1990) and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Melbourne in Australia. He has served as Head of Operations in various Divisions of Railways viz. Waltair, Palghat etc. and was also Deputy Chairman/Chairman of Visakhapatnam Port Trust. He worked in Zonal HQs of Central and Southern Railways as Head of Marketing and Safety. He has also been as Executive Director/Strategy Planning and Implementation and director (Accounting Reforms, Railway Board) in the Ministry of Railways. Afterwards, he shouldered the responsibilities of Divisional Railway Manager in Mumbai. Presently, working as Managing Director, Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), Ministry of Railways.
