Shri Santosh Kumar Jha

Shri Santosh Kumar Jha, a member of the Indian Railway Traffic Service since 1992, holds an MBA in Marketing from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai. With three decades of experience in various administrative roles within Indian Railways, he currently serves as the Director (Operations & Commercial) at Konkan Railway Corporation Ltd., Mumbai, part of the Ministry of Railways. Shri Jha is a logistics expert, having spent seven years as Executive Director (Business Development & Operations) at Container Corporation of India Ltd., the country's largest logistics entity. He has experience in establishing new container terminals and PFTs and procuring containers from international sources. His training includes Port Operation in Antwerp Port, Belgium, Container Logistics in Shanghai, China, and participation in Advanced Management Programs at INSEAD, Singapore, and ICLIF, Malaysia. Over the past year and a half, Shri Jha has initiated the establishment of new stations, additional loops, warehousing complexes, and container depots on Konkan Railway. His efforts have streamlined operations, contributing significantly to achieving record revenue, freight loading, and movement on Konkan Railway in 2022-23.
