Sharat Sahai Mathur

With a career spanning several decades, he began his journey in the Indian Railways as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer in 1986. From then on, he ventured into various roles in Information Technology within the Railways. Notable achievements include his involvement in the pioneering Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) project at the Rail Coach Factory and his tenure as the Chief Information Officer at the Container Corporation of India. As Director (Computerization and Information Systems) at the Ministry of Railways, he formulated the IT policy and initiated enterprise-wide projects. Currently serving as General Manager/Group General Manager at the Centre for Railway Information Systems, his expertise encompasses diverse IT areas, backed by a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and an M.Tech. in Computing Systems and Infrastructure.
