Dr. Amit Kumar Jain

Dr. Amit Kumar Jain, a distinguished Indian Railway Traffic Service officer from the 1999 batch, currently serves as the Director of Operations and Services at the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC). With a 22-year career, he's held leadership roles in railway operations, including General Manager at the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), Head of Operations for the Delhi Division of Railways, and Principal at the Training Institute of Delhi Metro.

Dr. Jain is highly educated, with a Ph.D. in Urban Transportation from SPA Delhi, an M.Tech from IIT Delhi, and a B.E. in Civil Engineering from IIT Roorkee, where he received a gold medal. He's also an author of several books and a regular contributor to newspapers and journals. Notably, Dr. Amit Kumar Jain is an expert in rail digitalization and has designed a digital transformation strategy for Iranian Railways in collaboration with UNESCAP. He is a part of the Government of India's 'National Pool of Trainers on Leadership' and serves as a visiting faculty member at prestigious institutions like LBSNAA-Mussoorie, TERI, IIT Mumbai, and more.
