Kumud Wadhwa is presently working as Senior General Manager at National Smart Grid Mission (NSGM) - Project Management Unit (PMU). She is working in POWERGRID supporting the Ministry of Power as a part of the Project Management Unit for the design and development of Smart Grid in the distribution sector. Also, she is working on capacity building initiatives for Smart Grid

Ms. Wadhwa completed her degree in Electrical Engineering from NIT, Kurukshetra and did her MBA in Information Systems from MDI. She has over 30 years of Cross-Domain experience in the Power sector spanning from project planning and management for transmission projects, IT projects, LD & C projects to Smart Grid projects in Distribution.

She played an instrumental role in designing the roadmap for Smart Grids in India, pilot program management, and launch of the smart grid knowledge portal. She is also nominated as an Indian expert in ISGAN annexes, a member of BIS LITD 10 and Mission Innovation agenda.
