About The Conference
Advances in the Information Technology & Electronics (ITE) arena have come up as the most significant enablers for improving efficiency & effectiveness of the government. Chandigarh Administration is acutely aware of the tremendous potential of Electronics and Information technology and has made great efforts to ensure that the benefits of these sectors reach to its citizens.
With the optimal focus of Digital India Conclave, Chandigarh 2018 on interchange of ideas, opinions, and ideal practices across the country in driving initiatives that are ushering in the digital era, the aim is to make administrative efficient, service delivery efficient and lives of people efficient. All emphasises will be on Smart Cities, the Start Up ecosystem and Chandigarh’s endeavor for cashless entities besides the IT policy that is shaping future of the city.
The UT Administration is not only giving a thrust to IT industry and encouraging IT exports but also ensuring that the experience of the citizens and interaction of the government is made hassle-free by use of IT. With initiatives like Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park, home to top IT countries across the globe, Chandigarh Administration has facilitated not just the industry but introduced and integrated the advantages of IT in the everyday life of its citizens.
The Society for Promotion of IT in Chandigarh (SPIC) which has been set up under the aegis of the Department of Information Technology, Chandigarh Administration for implementing the various plans of the Administration to promote the IT industry in Chandigarh, has launched several initiatives in the governance, education, health, transport and all other sectors which have come as a boon to the industry and the people.
This event will see participation of thought leaders, policy-makers, industry experts, International Agencies and Embassies, profit-making PSUs and other relevant stakeholders of the information technology domain both from private and government sector, academia and others.
